Hotel Aldea 19 Bacalar

The room offered fine views overlooking the lake and had a beautiful private patio. I found the accommodations well-appointed, with comfortable bedding and excellent water pressure in the shower. The location allowed me to swim in the lake or unwind on sunbeds and hammocks. The competitively priced catamaran trips organized by the staff enhanced my stay significantly.

The breakfast selection was somewhat limited.

The best part was the fine lake views from my room! The hotel was gorgeous with comfy beds and an amazing breakfast at Raiz. A bummer was the lack of a fridge in the room 🌅

The employees were accommodating and excellent.

It was an absolutely great place. Stayed in spotless room with very good showers. The staff were all accommodating and amiable. Enjoyed delicious food in the bar.

Private parking was missed, we were a little disappointed.

No kayak or pedal board rentals!!! The hotel could use more information on local attractions!!! More flexibility and options would definitely enhance the experience!!!

The breakfast was so simple, eggs prepared 3 ways, like wow, how original. The coffee, if you could call it that, was terrible. A surprise room upgrade or complimentary gesture would have been perfect, but I suppose that's too much to ask for when you're just a guest trying to enjoy some peace and quiet! So disappointed.

Greatly enjoyed climate control, a private safe and multi-channel television in the room. The beds where good and the bathroom here was good...

Family room with very good showers accommodated us perfectly. Besides, the location was amazing for our stay, within 15 minutes' walk of Lake Bacalar. And the area was wonderful, very close to the town centre.

Fine lake views from the Family Room with Lake View made our stay special. Breakfast selection was limited, offering only a few options.

Amazing location for Bacalar, short walk to Yucatan, and the lake. And 10 mins walk to Lake Bacalar. Nice bed in family room with a safe, a work desk, and television.

Charming Stay with Beautiful Lagoon Views

The lagoon views were amazing, especially during sunrise. Staff were friendly and helpful. Consider renting bikes in advance as on-site rentals were unavailable. Pack your own snacks for the sunbeds.

The location right on the lagoon was amazing, offering fine views from my room. I appreciated having a private lagoon entrance where I could easily swim and relax on sunbeds or in the hammocks. The staff were friendly and helped me with reservations for competitive catamaran trips.

I found the breakfast selection a bit limited, having to choose between juice or fruit.

But a fridge in the room would've been fab-who doesn't want cold water at arm's reach? Oh, and seriously, could we get some umbrellas for those sunbeds? My skin thanks you in advance!

Waking up pretty much inside the lagoon was perfect. The hotel is gorgeous, with beautifully decorated rooms, and the bed was super comfy. Breakfast at Raiz was made to order and delicious, especially the guac and cinnamon rolls. Including Carlos and Ruby, provided very nice service.

The room didn't have a fridge.
